It Is Curtains For Us
The outer defenses consist of a simple set of three bastions connected by curtain walls which generally absorbed the shot from guns of the period. You will notice that the defenders can exit or sally out of the defenses by going into the ditch and then exiting just beneath the old Norman walls. Each Between each bastion is an earthen curtain wall.
